I'm sorry for little off-topic, but I want to ask you about design of this site. Did you make this template yourself or got from any templates website? Looks pretty cool for me :)

Hiya Jay! Well, I'd say my hyuuuge muscles, but you can see from the pix in the Off Topic area of the kungfu.cc forums that they ain't all that big. I guess that's the beauty of training just for strength - stealth mode! ;-)

Congrats on the 100K; dang less than 2 1/2 hrs is something else! I remember biking in Ireland and it taking most of a day to do 60 miles with landru (on 3-speeds w/ frequent stops for picnics in ring forts, ice cream, etc, LOL). Dang - avg HR of 175 too! I used to be able to maintain that for 1 hr but it was a struggle for sure. My hat's off to you brother-man!

Man, that is excellent! How in the world can you be lifting weight like that? It's really something else. I did a personal record myself this past weekend riding 100K in 2:27:40...right at a 24 mph average. My average heart rate was 175 :) Took me 36 hours to recover.

Hey, with PL, at least you aren't out in the heat!

Jay! How's it going? The meet won't be until July 27, but I'm on track for getting that record I think. Right now I'm at about a 385 bench. Still on ly 194 lbs, so no worries about having to lose to stay in the 198s (so far).

Nice job on the endurance biking! I was going to do that triathlon, but I think since my PLing is going so well, I'll just stick to the annual half-marathon to make sure I don't get too far out of cardio shape. ;-)

It's June and July, how did it go? I had a breakthrough myself this summer and a nice one, 71 miles in 3:10 followed 2 weeks later by 100 miles in 5:30 with 2 15 minute breaks to reload liquids and food.

Funny how I sports are different! I put on muscle mass then have to lean out more to keep the weight down.

May 29, 2006
Enjoyed hearing of your new reach to 365 lbs. on bench press. Sure you weren't counting days of the year...

Don't know how you reach that weight. I must watch a tournament someday. And, good luck on going for 400+ lbs.

Have a good summer!

Thanks. ;-) I should point out that the first 10 lbs was also accomplished with drinking 64 oz of water per day. I'm now a big proponent of drinking water for weight loss. This also had the benefit of cutting down my carbonated drinks to 1 or 2 per day, which I've maintained.

Thanks for the input on what good a simple regimen can do. The inspiration is needed. Will add it to outdoors work and fun.
