Summer Update

Postby BenGarcia » Wed Jul 20, 2005 11:23 am

How's everyone's summer? Training hard? NO?! Yeah, me neither. I've been gone TAing for a field camp in New Mexico for 6 weeks, and before that I was in Costa Rica for a week (my life sucks). I'm on my second week of getting back into shape, and I feel OLD. I did stances for the first time in 2.5 months(ysterday) and my legs feel like spaghetti! I've been doing forearm conditioning pretty regularly, though, especially since I built a cheap version of a wooden dummy (<$30). What a great training tool! Now if I could only get the entire thing lightly padded (with removable padding since it's outside).

What's TKF CS like these days? Dan, are you still in town? Chris? For any of you guys in CS for the summer, make sure you go to class b/c this is when you can get the Sifus to teach you all the secret techniques, like wall walking, and flying, and pulling tablecloths out from under dishes without disturbing the settings.

Good to hear from you BG. Chris is still in CS, but I don't know for how long. I have moved to Minneapolis, but we'll be getting out of here as soon as we can. As for training...yeah, I'm slacking, but not for long there too! Keep updating this thread, so we know what else you've been up to.
