For those that lift weights...

That's great news! I get super irritated if I don't lift...so it's good to hear you're back in the game.

In general, lifting wisdom is that one shouldn't use wraps for every lift - not even for every session if you pyramid. At most they should be used once a month or so. The problem is that they compress the tendons against the sheaths and you can get what's similar to carpal tunnel syndrom in those tendons at worst or simply tendonitis. Basically, all gear should only be saved for max attempts periodically - belts, wraps, straps, whatever.

Having said that, if you have a knee problem that requires wrapping, then by all means do so, just be aware of the tendon thing and wrap as loosely as you can that will still benefit your injury. (PL'ers wrap really tight for that push out of the hole)

I may need my wraps for church.

You ought to see me going up and down during mass.

It is not pretty, LOL.

What are your thoughts for wraps for leg extensions?

I've never done this.

Just curious.

I did legs last night and I had to walk up the stairs sidways when I was done.

My questioning would not be the wraps, but the leg extensions.
They tend to be not very good for knees.

Agree w/ Tink, for sure. Look up "open joint" exercises on the net or somewhere.
