Dan - Don't forget "Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon" was originally a Neil Diamond tune. Neil also wrote it. I've heard if Neil's contributions to a song are forgotten you'll dream of nothing but "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" for eternity, which is a fate worse than death, trust me. . .

What ever happened to Urge Overkill anyway? They were absolutely huge when I was in college mid-1990's, but I haven't heard from them in probably 6 or 7 years.

You know RabitHead, I haven't a clue about what happened to them. They probably just drifted into obscurity like so many other bands. Still, thanks for the info about that being a cover, I didn't have a clue. On a side note, in some of the new car commercials another band The 5,6,7,8's are getting some airplay - see Kill Bill vol 1 for them(they're the band playing in the night club).

Okay next song - it's pretty much brand new

Looking back at me I see that I never really got it right
I never stopped to think of you
I'm always wrapped up in things I cannot win
You are the antidote that gets me by
Something strong like a drug that gets me high

But what I really meant to say, is I'm sorry for the way I am.

That would be "Cold" by Crossfade.

BTW, Urge Overkill is apparently still around. I found their official site on a quick Google search. They've just fired their manager, cancelled a few U.S. dates they had booked and are working on a new record, they haven't put one out since 1995, so maybe that's why we haven't heard from them in awhile.

cool. I'll be sure to check them out. It'd be interesting to see how they sound after 10 yrs. You are correct on the song, although I think it's So Cold, but that just semantics. You're up!

Thanks, Dan. Sorry for the delay, I had a road trip this morning for work.

Everyone knows this song, most of you have blocked it from your memory.

Talk to me
Tell me your name
I'm just a link in your daisy chain
Your rap sounds like a diamond
Map to the stars
Yeah, Baby

Talk to me
Tell me the news
You wear me out like a pair of shoes
We'll dance until the band goes home
Then you're gone
Yeah, Baby

I didn't know it was "Name that good lyric". ;)

Think "American Idol", Barr (if you've access to that in Canada), but not a winner (or even a finalist).

She Bangs by Ricky Martin

Compliments to William Hung, isn't that the guy you are talkin about?

You are correct sir! God bless William Hung, and may his fifteen minutes be over.

I assume it's your turn, but I may have drawn a red card from Dan.

The world turned upside down
Things ain't been the same
Since the blues walked into town
But you're one in a million
'Cause you got that shotgun shine
Born under a bad sign
With a blue moon in your eyes
